It's a miracle, we are finally married! Getting married during a pandemic has been quite an adventure. We could not have done it without divine blessings and our loving families. Since our engagement in 2019, we have been planning for a perfect wedding but this pandemic left a big lesson for us - that our marriage is far more important than our wedding. The innumerable changes to our plans have taught us that there is only so much within our control, no Excel sheet can account for everything. Our adventure included us deciding to do our civil registration on the morning of the event and planning our Hindu wedding in 3 days!
We've heard of the saying "It takes a village to raise a child", but how many to get them married? The best gift we received for our wedding was love. Love from our understanding parents who worked tirelessly to make this happen, love from our siblings who had endless tasks as our plans changed, love from our families who gave us the best possible wedding, love from our friends who constantly checked in on us, supported us. Seeing everyone come together and being showered with love has been the most meaningful gift as we start a new chapter in our life.
Our union was even more special as it finally marked the end of our long-distance relationship, a much-awaited moment! Every once in a while, right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us magic. We hope to share it with you as our way of celebrating together.
Lots of love,
Vishnu & Radhika
